prefer the 152s. 2 seater.
boy .... you can really put shit loads of Gs with that.
Back than in australia while i was a trainee we had this "Uncontrolled Recovery" excerise. the instructor put the plan into whatever stunts you can think of and lets go in the middle and tell you to recovery with minimum altitude lost.
its during the pulling and climb out stage where you experience around 3 Gs. not alot though but for first timers its a big blow. 3Gs is enough to screw up the Gyro gauge for the Attitude indicator
we also did Spiral dives ... incipient spins... steep turns... hammerheads. almost vomitted that day.![]()
yeah ... miss those days in australia.. with the 172s you pull little bit, the wing will break ...Originally posted by duotiga83:wah...wad an experience.....![]()

any turbo prop plane can pull more than 3g?Originally posted by Flight Cadet Officer:i can gurantee the 172s can't pull 3 Gs. thats the sad thing ...
firstly turbo prop's engines are extremely sensitive to temperature differences. if say you are at 95% thrust and you reduce to 23% idle right away in 1 sec, the engine will stall. vice versa and the engine will explode.Originally posted by duotiga83:any turbo prop plane can pull more than 3g?

so for aerobatic planes its mainly just piston.
