Prune the trees, tend the weeds

Mop the floor, dust the ledge
Wash the clothes, vacumn the carpet
Tidy your room, cook your food
Give you surprises, buy you gifts
Take you home, listen to'r problems
Hug you more, piss you less
Treat you nice, treat you fine
Bring you out, bring you joy
Make you happy, make you free
Where does that leave me,
Why am I so lonely then.
Where's the light of love that I need
A pale darkness of gloom
Perpetuates within.
So empty am I!
Will anyone hear me?
Save me please
From this chasm of gloom
Oh how I hate it
All I do, all I do for you,
Art thou satisfied?
Why doesn't it show
That you APPRECIATE
and that you ACKNOWLEDGE my effort

Dear Lord,
Why am I here in this world of yours? Why was I born into this world? To give you happiness at the expense of me? I've experienced so much depression in this world. So much pain. To be betrayed and played with again and again. People tell me how lucky I am, what with my stable family etc. How is it that I'm not happy? Am I just being greedy simply asking for too much? How is it that I'm forever in situations whereby I'm the one getting hurt? Why is it that I can make so many people happy except myself? Perhaps it is in a past life that now I pay for my sins. To lead a depressing life no one should lead.
Am I an ungrateful servant of yours Lord? Why do you keep punishing me with all the situations you put me in? Am I really that bad a person to be enduring all these? Why Lord why? OH Lord, please I earnestly seek an answer from you every day! All the time I ask you why? I've been searching the answer for so long. Why haven't you told me? Why am I left in the dark of your greater plans?
Patiently I wait for your answer, Lord. Though now a life of uncertainty awaits. Happiness denied.
