Hello,
Just want to ask people about their camping experiences in one of Singapore's beaches or parks.
I have camped at East Coast Park, Changi Beach, Sembawang Park and Pulau Ubin.
Personally the 2 places I liked were Changi Beach and Pulau Ubin. Changi Beach had a comfortable spot to sleep on (there was sand beneath), was not crowded (maybe as it was a weekday night) and had a nice constant wind blowing (must have been the season). I was just 10 minutes walk from Changi Village.
Pulau Ubin is nice as there is really so few people around. I was at Nordin beach and the only other people there were a family fishing overnight.
I did not like East Coast as it was crowded, felt like a circus. Did not really fit in with my idea of camping. Sembawang Park was not really a beach and the is a large around of insects in that location. Surprisingly it was pretty happening at night too, with people moving about in the playground, etc.
Well, still have two public places to try, West Coast and Pasir Ris, so will try to do either of them soon.
Whats your take on camping in Singapore?
