  25 years old is the typical age of the AV stars retiring.
  
  Note that the starting age of most of them is 18. So, basically, they have spent their most "ripe" years in the business.
  
  Unless they really need money, or to go into the mature line of productions, they will back off at 25.
  
  Though some of them do retire, go into those clubs and then come out of retirement. Like my favourite one. She's coming out of retirement soon... Can't wait.
