I want to move out and have a house of my own. Under HDB policy, I'm not eligible to buy if im not wrong.
Actually, I'm interested in apartments as I wont really use the condo facilities. Just like to know, what is there to look out for when buying private housing?
I'm also looking at like a 2-3 room sort of size? Please do not tell me in sqm as I'm not able to imagine that. And also, what kind of prices should I be expecting. Not looking for those in the high end area, but more in the north east area.

ohh okay, I'll check it out. I tried googling alr, but I only get back those ERA websites and all which I feel have very little info for me. And I'm actually thinking more on purchasing. .

advert yrself lor!! srsly its easy.... just register to gumtree then ad yrself that ur looking for a place... then meanwhile u do some research -

now is a bad time to buy private property.
for those in the further district, it range from S$600++ psf easily....
so depending on ur budget and the amount of loan u are able to secure, u shd work ur way down as to how big a housing u are able to afford. If u are cash rich, u can go for bigger unit, as itis a rule to pay cash for 20% + duty fees (ard 3%) as down payment. within the 8weeks of the paying the option money that can range from 1% to 5%.
anyway, if u are sure of wat u want and need more information, just approach any housing agent and they will stick to u like fly. U can even called them in middle of the nite jsut to answer ur doubt....

I also want to buy a house by myself but not enough money.
Maybe we join name buy a house? But I think hdb rule is that friends cannot buy a house together. Only couples or sibilings or parents and children can buy
