Exactly.. or worse still, push the fault around.

I like to quote....quote myself actually,
"Pride is only useful in short moments in life, it can never save your life."
Let me quote this from the movie "Now and Then":
"As we grow older, it becomes difficult to just believe. It's not that we don't want to, but too much has happened that we just cant."

Nice, but I'm fighting hard not to believe in what you are saying.

That quote is too negative.
I think it is important to keep believing, for it is hope that keeps us going.

This I totally agree. But you do sound abit young to fully understand the nature of it's truth.
Something positive then:
If we wait for the moment when everything, absolutely everything is ready, we shall never begin - Ivan Turgenev
OR
The minute you start talking about what you're going to do if you lose, you have lost - George Shultz

For the first quote:
There can never be a moment when absolutely everything is ready.

Well, there are ppl who think that way.
tsk.
it means if making love is lethal and if one long drag down the airway can turn a rainbow full of heart into a violent storm of nuisance, then there’s nothing left know except knowing when to engage and unplug. offer what you can give, steal what you can get.

That's profound.

True...

I'm only assuming that you are quite young, but I'm not refering to your age. Experience in r/s is what I'm pointing to exactly. It gets a whole lot harder with bad experiences and environmental factors to truly believe that perfect love can still happen to you. Some will just submit themselves to fate, very much like Nata|ie over here. I still believe in fighting for what you want though.

To put in simply, hit and let go?

no it is not. there's a reason we invented fast cars, replacement therapy and divan acts so everyone's vaguely happy!

Indeed. Im short of experience in r/s
But I think it is important to not let the past affect the future cos your past failed attempts do not determine your future.

Well, I do still hope (with the slightest possibility) of the perfect love happening to me. And of coz the part of fighting for what I want.
However sometimes, the outcome/conclusion is not the expected.
So, when I've done all I can, and still nothing happens? I'll leave it to Fate.
:)

Again, I truly agree. But it does gets a lot harder in time.

I believe you need a lot more couragement to truly believe, becasue fate is seldom an option.

I guess at the end of the day, we just have to admit that there are many things in life which we cannot control, especially love.
I think the key is to manage your expectations.
Everyday we face struggles, face decisions to be made. And everyday gets harder, because whatever one has experienced before, will affect how one make his/her decisions on situations that they face.
Thus you wake up a different person everyday, however it doesn't mean that your beliefs change.

When it gets harder, come back here to be reminded and motivated
Blessed is he who expects nothing, for he shall never be disappointed.
