ive ever seen uncles wearing singlets sweeping teh floor at a carpark in amk.. and then half hr later drives away in a merc wearing immaculate flowery shirts.. dun judge a person juz by what it seeems to u that he doesent have a house of his own. the parents might have a huge mansion with more rooms than u and ur hubby can ever stay in.

yes. bread can keep u alive when ur hungry. i dun think the same can be for romance. its juz like the saying, when we can fill our stomachs then we sttart to think of things like love and being charitable. we must be self sufficient first.

i agree leh. if maintenance is S$1500 a month, minus public transport expenditure of $500 a month, you save $12,000 a year!
probably the best time to buy a car is when your wife is pregnant, and for 10 years down the road. :D -

When I married my husband he have no house and no car
We bought our house together and still no car
We can afford to buy one but not doing so because we figured that the money going in there is like throwing money away especially since we don't need to drive around for our jobs.
Plus, we live near our workplace and the MRT is just 5 mins walk away

i agree that car is just a depreciating asset. if there was no company car, i'd just put up with public transport... and by that i do not mean cabs.. -
I'm under the impression that guys with no cars have more money in the bank compared to guys who do.
Having property is different. If fully paid for, unless he's the charitable kind wiling to split half with me, it doesn't make a darn difference.
If he's coughing up cash for instalments every month and I'm expected to contribute, then no thanks.
No doesn't make a darn difference no matter which angle he's coming from.
