I admit i woke up late in terms of academic then i graduated O level with a L1R4 of 12 pts and L1R5 of 16pts.. i got admitted to IJC this yr,,
however with my non-Amaths and combined science background there's alot of subjects i couldnt take for eg. either just one of the H2chem or H2 physics or H2 maths.. Due to the policy in innova which H2 maths combi is tied together with H2,it left me with a only combi which is H2econs,H2geog,H2 ENGLISH LIT!!! and H1 maths or science,, then with this combi there is very limited courses i can go in Uni..and omg,H2 english LITerature..how difficult is that subject??my eng for Os is only b3..and what are the career prospects of NUS business or social sciences?? courses that doesnt require sciences??
then in this case i might as well go for poly? But then competition in poly is also tight especially in good courses and only top 10% could get into local Uni..which dosent really give me gurantees of uni entry..
another alternative is to appeal to other borderline JCs which can offer me at least one H1 maths&H2 science so as to broaden my choices of courses in uni,,
any advise for me??
the top10% is bull sh4t lah
Even if you are in top 10% doesn't means you can go Uni. And even if you are in a JC,
if you don't get good results, you can't get into Uni too.
why don't you opt for a poly instead ? ... that would be your best option I suppose ...
hey, was from a jc..so can offer u some advice.
firstly, dun compel urself to study in a jc that offers poor choices and doesnt help u to get into uni.
secondly, jc life is very competitive..i feel its much more than poly. have to juggle ur time well between ccas and studies when the latter alone can make one struggle le.
the choice is urs to make, my pal.
hope u make the right decision.
Think I must be old. Dunno there is H1 and H2 differentiation in JC subjects now.
Anyway, why take a combi that you don't like, and most probably won't have the motivation to excel in?
Appeal to other JCs. Your score isn't that bad.
