Looking at his response ("stereotypical", "You got your own views, i got mine"), I think he isn't gonna change or learn anything from this.
He should probably already know we are trying to HELP him, not the other way around, so it's his choice to make. In the end, he is the one paying the price, not us.

and sorry about ur uncle dude, but please dun assume im a chain smoker, obviously it makes an ass out of u n me. im sure more than enough of singapore know that smoking leads to death and all sorts of shit, but honestly those ppl that die, they got attribute and tell us about the other factors like stress and depression? Most probably not. My grandmother chain smoker for as long as i could remember survive till 80+. She was happy with getting smoke in her lungs, for all i know it could be keeping her alive lol.
But do u honestly think slapping a 330 dollar fine on a smoker and litter bug changes him in anyway? Singapores approach srsly damn fucked up. If ur a smoker yourself you would probably know that, after you tell this kind of story to your buddies they will probably offer you yet another cigerette and ask you smoke it off and forget about it. But what do i know man. im just a kid right?

Im just trying to be objective here. Im neither stressed nor depressed, sure i understand that every stick i smoke probably puts me an inch closer to the grave, i give thanks for all your concern even you people might not know me, but what im trying to put across here is people shouldnt be so stereotypical against smokers underage or not.

All underage smokers get caught are protected and most severe case ive seen is police warning letter, no fine issued even, how to give anything else when they are under the jurisdiction of the school? All prinicipal want to protect their lovely schools reputation.

Thats ur sch then but there are more ways than just the sch which will sent u to us. If u choose to carry on ur ways, good luck then. I won't deny not all underage smokers are with us but of all my boys, i would say less than 10% are non smokers making them a rare commodity.

If u want the truth, some make me feel surprised why they are there while some make me surprised why their sentence is so short. I even have boys who act like angels in front of me and act like devils in school and to others when i discuss about them with the staffs.
However whats more important is how many change when they leave and how many are ready to upgrade their stay and move to changi in the very near future.

Haha, i won't even know if u do since we don't see all the boys but only selected boys.
However i would say most of my better behave boys are the non smokers and just so happen both of my better behave boys were there due to sexual offences rather than the more common smoking/fighting/rioting.

I don't see any stereotypes.You yourself admit you know that smoking is hazardous to your own health, so obviously you don't qualify under the "kid that does not know he is killing himself" category.
And you say that you are "neither stressed nor depressed", which leaves very possible reasons for you to be smoking, all of which I feel are very unnerving.
I'd rather you be smoking BECAUSE you are stressed and depressed rather than not.

Ok first things first, smoking isnt an health issue to me, we are all going to die some day, i could die tomorrow for all i know should divine providence have it so, in my opinion we should just live life with no regrets. I studied bio before, so i know all the carcinogens and crap in cigs. But i also do know that, 10 million other things also lead to cancer but this is not what you want to know right.
so moving on, i smoke really as a social thing and of course the occasional destress from exams and stupid NEA fines lol. Yes it might sound stupid and retarded/ridiculous to smoke for social reasons to everyone who doesnt. In cliche terms it borders around "Acting cool" but its not. I would just say that, it adds a similarity between you and another smoker, which so called, brings you closer? In a way, its goes along the adage of, "People like people like themselves." Im not trying to say that im like some sociopath and got no friends, that one really gone case. But you get what im trying to put across?

Since you are not even scare of dying tomorrow, why scare of kena caught by NEA? I mean some of the people here maybe using a mocking tone or whatever, but underage is seriously not something we want to encourage. You have got your rights of cos but I guess people just want to point out that there might be something about smoking you have underestimated.
