Although this is a cigarette forum, I hope y'all dont mind me posting topic regarding cigar?
Some questions ar....
Besides the shop at Suntec (no time to go down and see see this 2 weeks), anywhere else to purchase?
Also, any recommendation of brands for starters? (i smoke but my gf dont but she wants to try with me.. so am i classified as a starter as well since i smoke cigarette?)
Can they be bought individually, or by boxes? Usually how many per box?
Lastly, hows the price like?
cheap ones are often spotted at petrol stations, 6-12 bucks i think
don't tarik on your cigar and you should be fine
don tarik not smoking le, do tarik, but not the whole mouthful of it.
but anw, smoking is bad habit lar.
reminder =)
im also a smoker.

taste. appreciation
ok....
i think later i go suntec see
There's also Davidoff at Hyatt.
If you're not used to cigars, Cubans (e.g. Montecristos, Cohibas, Romeo y Juliettas) may not be the best start because they can be too strong. Some Dominicans are pretty smooth and mild, and I would recommend Santa Damania Coronas.
If you are going to Davidoff, though, try the Davidoff 2000 – it's milder than the Grand Cru No 3.
Apart from mildness, there's also size. For starters, try a ring gauge between 38 and 42, and a length between 5.5 and 6 inches.
Thanks Gedanken, thats some useful info!
Anyway, i dont have to buy now because she got them for me during vday.
However theres no harm to know more about cigars isnt it? hehe.
She got me the thick ones.. (handmade cigars as she said).......
Romeo y Julieta (no. 2) and Montecristo.... the first one she said it's lighter.. the latter is stronger. I have only tried the Romeo.... it's quite ok.
But then i have problems lighting up.. probably because i use a normal lighter to light up It takes some time before i could have a puff. Should i get a lighter for cigar instead? Is it ok to use normal lighters?
Another problem i faced is, when i smoke.. there isnt much smoke comin out.. Why is this so? lol i duno how to explain. It's just not similar as ciggarette. So i suck in pretty hard for the cigar.... (maybe i nv light up fully lol!) but i could feel that it is much stronger as i feel somethin at the chest area? like kinda thick..tarik too much?
Cigars aren't as easy to light as cigarettes - they're a lot denser. You can use a butane lighter to light them, but a better way is to use a cigar match. Hold the tip of the cigar over the flame and roll it so it burns evenly across the exposed end, till you get about 1-2 mm of ash, and then puff on the cigar before putting the flame out. The cigar can go out especially if you smoke it slowly, so be prepared to relight it.
And you don't tarik with cigars - you're just supposed to taste the smoke.
Thanks Gedanken.
I think for the moment I'd stick to normal lighters. Havent go check out how much the cigar match is. Yes, it actually goes out a few times.. I'd have to relight it from time to time.... Kinda troublesome. haha. But i dont think im slow.... well i dont know? lol.
The most irritating part is lighting it up.
Gotcha. (Anyway, i actually inhale them. Well, i could feel the burning sensation on my lungs/heart. I'd stop this habit. I tend to suck too hard.)
normal lighters can also light up cigar, just need longer time. lol.
rmb don tarik everything, half will do =)
cohiba panetelas.

why u said that?
whats there to be poseur about? i just want a good time.
me is askin
smkin cigar cms naturally de.
if u find urself tarikin means u duno hw to appreciate.
that is because im new to cigars, since i only smoke cigarettes.
and that explains the existence of this thread. I ask about the price, the types, and the differences. Hows it diff from cigarettes. Theres always a first-time.
does this make me a poseur then? haha
to wan to learn more is ok.
bt u dun hv the instincts for it.
so y bother & waste the cigars.
haha? Yes, i want to learn more. Does this make me a poseur?
I dont get you. Instinct to smoke a cigar?
So your saying those who know to appreciate cigars have a natural gift in appreciating and smoking on the very first session huh? Whats this.
I just had my 2nd session of cigars yesterday btw not like I've been smoking cigars for long. And now I am still asking questions like that. Oh, so i dont have the 'instinct'.
