Rules and Regulations
With Islam in the spotlight of the current complex socio-political climate, I can understand how people would want to know more about Islam. As such, I call upon all parties to practice moderation and objectivity when it comes to discussions.
To non-Muslims:
We welcome you to this forum with open arms. By all means, feel no fear to ask anything you want to know about Islam. WeÂ’re not exactly scholars in the learning of Islam (at least IÂ’m not), but we will do our best to answer whatever queries you may have. We only ask that you put forth your enquiries in an objective and open-minded manner. That way, we can all better learn from each other.
To fellow Muslims:
We hereby welcome all fellow brothers and sisters in Islam to this forum. Remember that the rules of tolerance and objectivity apply to you as much as they apply to the non-Muslims. Even if someone were to set up a potential flamebait with an insulting attack on Islam, I call upon you to not respond in kind. Those who insult Islam do so out of ignorance. To respond in kind is to fall into the same trap of ignorance. You do not respond to ignorance with violence, but rather, with guidance and enlightenment.
That said, flamers are definitely not welcome in this place. As I mentioned earlier, by all means ask anything about Islam, but do so in a fair and objective manner. My co-moderators and I will not hesitate to edit or shut down any incendiary threads should the situation call for it.
