Atletico Madrid goalkeeper David De Gea will not be joining Manchester United according to the club president.
Enrique Cerezo dismissed reports from Spain claiming the two teams had agreed a £20million deal that will see the 20-year-old move to Old Trafford
Over the weekend, De Gea was allegedly house-hunting in Manchester but Cerezo laughed this off as pure media speculation.
“I am looking at a house in the Canary Islands, but that doesn’t mean I am going,” he joked to Sky Sports.
United have been linked with a number of high-profile keepers as they search for a replacement for the retiring Edwinvan der Sar.
De Gea, Manuel Neuer (Schalke) and Maarten Stekelenburg (Ajax) have all been scouted but their club’s have all denied any deal has been agreed.
