  I think it's an electrical rod. In that movie hor, when the car reached a point, then the rod touches the electrical cable and sent the people to the future.

  Because if you follow the story line, right after he came back from the past with the one with the fishing rod, the doc came from the future to pick him up with the one with the food processor. So the one with the fishing rod was effectively dumped right after the first.

  Nice car! Saw the 1:1 car too when on honeymoon in US universal studio. That time still got alot of Fast & Furious cars around too! Was thinking of getting the 1:18 back to the future car but decided to hold on 1st.
