  S$89.90 is for the Hot Wheels 1:18 model right? How much is the Minichamps 1:18 model? S$200 - S$300?

  i wonder y the hotwheels only available with the first drivers while the second drivers are all unavailable de... pretty weird from mattel... i tot they should release all together in one time...

  They took longer time maybe because this is their first time doing the 2nd drivers?? Eg, Hamilton, Wurz, Kovalainen and Raikkonen(new helmet).
  They all have to redesign the helmets, whereas Massa, Nico, Fiscichella and Alonso they have done before although may have a little changes.

  alonso has a new helmet this year.
  I guess it's hot wheel's strategy to make all the 1st drivers first then reuse the production line for the 2nd driver. Only change is the helmet.

  hot wheels... their launch is about 1-2 weeks later for the 2nd drivers.
  
  minichamps..... wait long long long even last year car haven't come to SG yet.
  but still worth the wait.

  That time I emailed f1.com.sg, and asked if Minichamps 1/18 MP4 21 is avaliable, then he replied and say he had Pedro De La Rosa's MP4 21 for sale!!

  There's another supporting base under the model lah... a bit troublesome to unscrew so many screws... anyway, leave the base there also looks good..

  yea... this is called "the floating display"... if u leave the wheels on the ground and display the model for long term, there might be a risk of flattening the tyres... if this happens, the tyres wont look nice anymore since its become flatten ya? f1 models are still ok consider their weight is not so heavy, but in order not to risk the model, its advisable to jack up the models with the base provided or use some materials to jack up if the model does not offer any base, such as the minichamps...

  Yeah..my Minichamps McLaren MP4-19B no base..so rubber in contact with ground..but since it's only 1:43 so it's very light..so not much effect on the rubbers..
  
  Maybe when you want to take pictures of it, then remove the base so that it looks more realistic? After taking pictures of it then put back the base?

  If you want realistic, then might as well get the Tamiya motors and put it in the model too? Connect the front and rear axles so they can move too lor.. Like those Tamiya racers, just that this is 1/18 scale F1 ones...

  btw do anyone makes diorama for their f1 models? like creating background and race track surface for their models??? should be pretty interesting ya?

  BTW, here is a comparision between real MP4 22 and Mattel MP4 22!!
  The real one is flipped for better comparing, thus the word are abormal..

  still prefer the minichamps version.
  The hotwheels version has a greyish rather than a mirror finish which is not very different from the 1997-2005 mclaren grey at the engine cover area. Missing a few details too like the golden foils at the rear suspension rods which the minichamp version has.
  
  JW the most obvious difference missing but then hotwheels want their market to be 14+ but at 20+ prices nowadays. Can't blame them since the price of zinc has doubled over the past year (quote from a leading diecast seller/shop/blog) thus all diecasts are just more expensive.

  I think the Hot Wheels' MP4-22 is only 70% similar to the real one..the MOST OBVIOUS difference is the shape of the side air intakes..And how come the Hot Wheels MP4-22 got a pair of small wings protruding from around the "Aigo Ai4 Guo2 Zhe3" sponsorship area but the real MP4-22 doesn't have..
  
  Even the shape of the nose is slightly different..
  
  I think a Minichamps model will be more accurate..
