  Press conference to announce the decision on F1 in Singapore. Fingers crossed but if they are not having it here, hold press conference for what? Looking forward to BBR's inaugural race model for Singapore!!

  Hi, er.. no leh, yesterday's news was e actual confirmation tat
  F1 will be held here next year around Sept or Oct.
  Reported tat should b a night race, but still looking into e safety aspects
  before confirmation thru e press again.

  I saw the proposed track... Definitely looks very challenging... Long straights for high speed, only to be met at the end with a tight hairpin... Even worse... Wide roads ending in narrow hairpins as well... That's definitely gonna be a challenge for the drivers... I'm expecting some accidents... lol...

  The track was designed to pass by as many hotels and attractions as possible. Long straights are just coincidental. That's Singapore for you.

  Yep agreed.. I am a huge fan of F1 but sad to say, Singapore's F1 is gonna be a failure imho. Only the first race might be a "great" winner. The rest will just be mediocre.

  Well... where else can you hold an F1 race in Singapore? Lim Chu Kang?
  
  Eventhough the track does pass by a lot of hotels and attractions, can anyone else think of any other place that can support an F1 race in Singapore? There is no denying that F1 races do attract a lot of tourists... even so, can we focus on the track itself and not just where it passes?

  I don't think its going to be a failure but just don't like the way everything is being measured with monetary renumerations.

  Thats cos their countries are huge... Hehe... Plus... think Lim Chu Kang is too near the SAF training area... lol...
