67 per cent of Men Prefer Women in Gym Outfits over Glamour
A new study has revealed that 67 per cent of men surveyed prefer women dressed for the gym than dressed for a night out; with a quarter also preferring their partners to ditch makeup for the ‘natural’ approach.
The assumption that men prefer girls who “make a bit of an effort” when it comes to appearances could be on the wane. New research from www.MyCelebrityFashion.co.uk (MyCelebrityFashion), the UK’s leading independent celebrity fashion website, has revealed that over two thirds, or 67 per cent, of men are more attracted to women in their gym clothes than in “high fashion.” Furthermore, 62 per cent of men polled claimed to “dislike” girls who wore a lot of make-up, with about a third, or 31 per cent, admitting that they preferred their partners not to wear any at all.
MyCelebrityFashion decided to commission the research when it noticed an increase in men shopping for partners on its site. A sample of 1,125 men aged 18 to 35 were subsequently asked questions that surrounded their relationship with women’s fashion.
When asked the multi-answer question, “Which clothing ‘look’ are you most attracted to on a woman?” the results were:
1) ‘The Gym Look’ (athletic clothing, minimal make-up) ‒ 67
per cent
up, styled hair) ‒ 24 per cent
15 per cent
they generally ‘disliked’ the look on women ‒ the main reason
being that they thought it ‘looked stupid.’
