Regret to be back

Haiz..... hello everyone, hope u all well whether u r. For me, I have already back to Sg for 2months and Im 'getting better' now from all kind of shocking. However, Im truly regret to be back. How do u guys feels when u back to Sg?

Where were you prior to returning to Singapore, and how long were you away? What aspects of your return are you regretting?
I was last back in Singapore in '08 for my dad's funeral.The FT invasion was already in high gear at the time, and I remember being disconcerted at the sheer number of foreigners on the streets; I can't imagine the situation has gotten any better since then.
It was great to be able to catch up with friends and colleagues in Singapore, but so much of the demographic and physical landscape had changed since my departure in '91 that it was not recognizable to me as "home" in any sense of the word anymore.

i was away 2001 to 2006, everyday i only wanted to go home. and home now finally, and happy, there is no other place on earth i'd rather be.

Hi again, thank u Sj, Disty, TJV, especially Meia, it is so great to having you, well i been away for 4 years, back from California. Day after day... now some feeling already numb, like the crazy crowd, bad service, bad maner, bad tracffic.... even my bad temper boss lol.

hmm.... I am still overseas... missing home but I fear of regretting like u feel now! hmm..... guess it will take time to 're-know' the place that we thought we are very familiar with as Singapore changes so much even in short periods of time!

Honestly, u wont feel live as a humanbeing in Sg, u may just be a working machine; u dont have life, u just live. and nobody cares. In America, attidute is everything, here money is everything. Life quality has been dropped, I feel headc about to explain what is discipline and respect to some of foreigners; your coworker likes u beacause of branded bag instead of your personality, u may also heac to explain that Sands really worth nothing to be proud to have it; besides shopping, ppl has nothing to do.

Not sure what to tell you, other than suggest you give yourself a bit more time to see if you can (re)adapt to life in Singapore. If that fails, and you still feel miserable there, then emigration might be the best option. You only have one life to live, and you might as well spend it in a place that makes you happy.

I got sent back to Singapore by my company to establish a new outlet here. First in Singapore. I can't wait for it to be done and move back to Taipei.
