I just took my A levels and i've always wanted go on working holidays. However i'm only 18 and seems to be like a crazy idea. I've go on a backpacking trip before. I'm wondering if anyone has done this working holiday thing and dont mind sharing their experiences with me. Is there any safe way to do this, like through some really established organisation. I do not wanna spend my 8 months working as i've the rest of my life to do it. Wanna spend this holiday doing what i wanna do and Working Holiday seems to be the thing for me
You can try Australia or NZ.
New Zealand is the only available option. The visa takes you through about 8 months in the summer period, and it lets you work and travel around. The people I've met took up seasonal jobs in orchards and vineyards, or in hostels and cafes.
Have you considered Australia? A working holiday visa allows you to stay and work for 12 months, although you may not work for more than 3 months with any one employer.
I just came back yesterday from one, hahaha.

well.... UK is one of the places that u can take the working holidays visa thinggy... i took it about 8 years ago, planning to work for a year and then travel for the next... ended up with a work permit after a year... n then ended up with a 'PR' (unlimited leave to remain) after following 5 years... and then ended with a husband... n then a family.... hmm.... i think it's good that u r thinking of taking this when u r young.... i was near 30 when i applied for it.... ;P

working in an old rusted kelong in middle of nowhere isnt classed as a holiday!its more like being dumped in alcatraz with unshaven \and dirty inmates squeezed into a small spot in middle of nowhere.
hardly be called a holiday or even a job to most intelligent or normal people.probably end up as rusted n old as that kelong u werk in!
