After tuesday's earthquake, the tri-state area and NC is gonna get hit with a hurricane... Everyone prepared?

u got bottled water for 1 week or more?
canned food for 1 week?
first aid kit?
torch light with extra batteries?
some rope for emergency?
helmet with restraning straps so it wont fly off in hurricane!hurricane will blow things like pieces of zinc sheets from rooftops onto people.....
because u cant have fresh water n cooked food when theres no more electricity!remeber to get cash as all atms would be down too.

you folks on the east coast all fine? i was away during hurricane irene and only just got back. i was worried about my rental house but thank goodness there wasn't any wind/water damage at all even though it was directly on the water. my landlord did board up all the windows. a couple of my neighbors' big trees fell though but luckily no major property damage.

Irene destroyed my umbrella and knocked my phone out of my hand while I was back in DC. But thankfully strong winds and rain were more or less all we got.
