Me quit Sears for good. No more shopping there either. Enjoying summer. Had a good time at the county fair last week. Friend from SG visited over 4 days. Played tourist with her and her kids. Next diy project, improve landscaping. Daughter graudated HS today. Milestone! I feel so old.

Spend less time shooting and more time studying, and all will be well.

Come on, you know you don't mean that. There must be Craftsman tools that you don't have yet!
Currently in tornoto now. This might be my final official travel due to work. After this I will be staying most of my time in Singapore. Gosh, now I start to miss travel. :(
Weather here is abit warm, but surely its better than singapore.

Best Buy, ah? Better get used to wearing that awful blue polo shirt, then.
Summer plans are temporarily on hold until I find out whether or not there's going to be a state shutdown come July 1 on account of the governor and state legislature not being able to come to an agreement on a working budget. It a shutdown occurs, up to 45,000 state employees with be temporarily laid off.
However, I'll most likely make yet another sakura-viewing trip to Japan in early April next year.
Took this picture of the readout of my indoor weather station a little earlier this afternoon:
Note the outside air temperature: 105ºF (40.6ºC). It's our third straight day of daytime temperatures over 100ºF.
looks like its much cooler here in 'sunny' california

Good weather's about the only thing going for Kalifornia.
the weather has been really nice. not too hot. was going to do a day-trip to niagara falls yesterday (Canada day) but plans changed. instead, stay home and had a series marathon.

Why did the plan to visit Niagara Falls fall through?

thats the good thing about private schools, the budget cuts exist but it ain't got nothin on us
If you've been following the news, you're probably aware that much of the interior of the US is currently sweltering under a stifling heatwave. Here's an image of the readout on my remote weather station, taken a few minutes ago:
For the metric-centric, 113ºF converts to approximately 45ºC. I don't think it ever got this hot in Singapore. The intense heat has caused the road surface on some stretches of the freeway to buckle.
According to the weather forecast, we have about another week of near-100º weather to endure, before a slight cooling trend sets in. Right now, anything under 90ºF would be a relief...
lol still hasn't hit above 85 here yet. nice revolver, .45?

Crap. Now they'll calling for strong storms with possible damaging wind and hail to hit us later today.
The revolver's a Ruger Super Redhawk with a 9.5" barrel, chambered in .480 Ruger. Here's a full image of it:
I've also got three other Ruger revolvers chambered in .454 Casull, .44 Mag. and .357 Mag.
damn, should have gone to another state, ca has the lamest concealed carry laws ever, no point buying a pistol if u can't easily get a permit to carry it on ur person. i was planning for a nice collection of glocks...
How's everyone enjoying their summer? Weather treating you all fine?
