Wow, it's been rather quiet in here these past few weeks. Just to sorta get things moving, I thought I'd post some pictures taken during our usual spring outing to Montana to hunt prairie dogs.
You can see here why Montana has earned the nickname "Big Sky Country."
As usual, we were hunting on public land administered by the U.S. Department of the Interior's Bureau of Land Management, where farmers are allowed to let their livestock roam and graze freely.
Continued in the next post...
And now, the raison d'être for the trip: the kills!
Fair warning: the pictures are pretty graphic, so if you're a squeamish card-carrying PETA member who can't comprehend why anyone would have the unmitigated gall to shoot these cutest, cuddliest and furriest of god's creatures, don't click on the links below!! You have been warned!

You're more than welcome to! We'll probably be going again in the fall.
Is your Saiga accurate out to about 250 yards, though? That's about the average distance of the kills.
don't think its a sharpshooter, i wanted to get a scope but the guy at the gunshop said no point its a bullet hose lol. i'm planning on 2 more acquisitions: glock 26 and maybe a ww2 mauser but the damned 8mm rounds are a rip off
i looked....and regretted deeply. poor little fellows :(
the fox and coyotes are out in my yard these days.....
Nice pics, MG.
