Private schools 10k /year?

  Ok ok...you migrated overseas and want to send your kids to schools but found out unlike spore where educational system is about the same for public and private schools....private schools tend to be better in angmoh countries in terms of grades and security..but need to fork out say 10k USD/year....

  Wonder if you guys think the money is worth it or just chuck the kids to any public schools come hell and water?

  Not all public schools are cut from the same cloth. Depending on the neighbourhood you call home, some public schools can give your kids a good education. So when you shop for a rental or permanent address, go online and check out the performance of the schools in question.

  Can't comment on private schools though through the years, I have wondered about placing my kids in one. Like public schools, you have to shop around for one that meets the criteria you want for your kids to attain. So when are you coming over with your kids?

  Anyways, I believe that the ambiance of the school as well as the characters of the students are the most important factors for your children to excel. If the school's good (in terms of the above two) and you are able to afford the school fees while at the same time live as you were before, why not go for it?
