*rummage through drawers for sundress*
i've been wearing my sundresses the past 2 days! 50 is pretty warm for me too.. especially after all the snow storms.
two days ago everyone was just sitting in the park, enjoying the sun! i was sprawled on the ground, reading my book enjoying the great weather.
Originally posted by jetta:Streamie: I can feel your happiness. lol. We on the other hand have been enjoying wet weather. It's rained two Saturdays in a row and we are so ready to get back to 70s and sunny.
Lost: I cannot imagine being in a sundress in 50 degree weather. That's still way too cold for me.
heh heh...... the april showers will come.........this weekend. the grass needs it. ;-) another beautiful day today........really lift the spirit.......spring is in the air..... woohoo~~~~
We've been having so much rain here, it's turned our normally brown landscape into an unrecognizable lush green one.
In other news, daylight savings happens Sunday.
we are expecting rain from saturday thru to next monday (well, at least it's not snow!). the sump pump will be working doubly hard....hopefully, the basement won't flood. might be helping neighbor set up her rain barrels later to store some water for the lawn/vegetable patch. i've gone to Kohls last week for some light coats...the kohls' sale was amazing. hubby got a bunch of good 100% cotton wrinkle free shirts for only USD4.20 each!!! seriously??!!!

i dont really like kohls.. i think marshall's and tj maxx are better. i'm alright with ross. burlington coat factory is expensive. i love outlet stores! especially brooks brothers, ralph lauren, nine west and bcbg!

yeah...marshalls and tjmaxx are my favorites too. i don't really buy branded stuffs....so i'd usually end up going home empty handed when i go to the outlet malls. are you on Ruelala and Gilt? if you wanna be invited....just drop me a PM with your email (invitation applies to all states people!). loads of branded stuffs for sale at discounted prices.

i'm at the south coast (near cape cod). so...can take I-495N and then join I-90W (through upstate new york).
What a beautiful day!!! Finally, 80F weather!!! I took full advantage of the warm sunshine. Spent 3 hours this morning up to my elbows in potting soil, repotting, transplanting, enjoying the feel of dirt. N-i-c-e.
Fatum: Piangz, C$65 for each of the 500 fish he had. OMG!! That'll teach him, the no-goodnik! hahaa!
Lost: Kohl's is so-so. Make sure you scrutinize the fabric quality. Twice now I've had to return blouses because a hole developed in the fabric weave. If you can find a Sears Outlet, that's where we've just started carrying discontinued Lands' End clothes and accessories. You can get a tee for just $5, business shirts for $12 and more. I just transferred from the outlet and it's a lucky thing because I just couldn't resist the great buys.
I'm not into outlets anymore. It's an age thing I guess. The older I get, the less I care about labels.
On the other hand, I've jumped into another business. Check this out: www.thirtyonegifts.com. Love the stuff!!!

80F!!!! wat you folks just went from winter to summer!
we've got quite a bit of rain past 2 days....my freaking basement is soaking wet despite the seriously overworked sump pump. most part of my town and many of the houses are below the water table so the basements are prone to flooding.
eeeks...i absolutely hate cold, dark and wet basements. & i've to do my laundry down there *sob* can't believe many of the stupid houses here are close to if not over a million dollars....i won't even pay a couple hundred thous for a house with flooded basement!!!! arghhh
the men's shirts at kohls (their housebrand) aren't too bad actually. and for $4.20 each...i really won't complain much at all. even the most crap shirts with tissue-paper thin material at SG Giants are like SGD10!
lands end/LLbean of course good but usually not cheap. i've a LLbean outlet near my place and i did buy quite a lot of stuffs (esp shoes) from there. absolutely great quality but not so fashionable.
hey that's an interesting site. what business is that? like etsy type? i'm shopping like crazy at etsy these days.... jetta: are you on etsy? share with us some of your creations! =)
Nah, I'm not on etsy. People there are sneaky enough to copy your designs to call their own. After all the hard work I've put into my creations, no thanks. I'd much rather continue selling at craft fairs.
Yes, Lands' End isn't cheap but their stuff is guaranteed. Period. I have returned stuff three years after purchase with no problems. Inventory at the Sears outlet is fantastic, with prices even more fantastic. We're not talking seconds, or overruns, just stuff from the previous season.
Save all your Kohl's receipts, is all I can say. I'm a receipt saver. lol
As for the weather, our winters are mild. I think our coldest days are balmy to you folks to the north of us. Don't forget flood insurance. Mucho importante!
