wow. we lost CURLING...??? to CHINA???? i dont know if this is tragic or funny...
oh well. this olympics is really not-good for the canadians. tsk. i dont even think there's a chance of us being in the top 3...hor?
the women's ice hockey had better not disappoint...!

i was going to write "joke of the day" but China is the current worlds champ so we can't write them off.
you know what it is? the pressure. i tink the cheers/supports from the stands can be overwhelming. but ice hockey is diff. we are used to the noise. but being *ahem* Canadians? they are too kind. they didn't rough up the opponents. ;-) i just have to keep fingers and toes crossed and play the Canadian olympics theme song "I Believe". :)

If we now suck at ice hockey, and curling now belongs to the Chinese. Then what can Canada claim as theirs??!!!! dancing aboriginals? haha. oh dear...
I hear the US goalie was fantastic and saved a million shots in the game though...

I read somewhere Singapore wants to participate in future Winter Olympics.
Looks like they may need to start recruiting foreign talent in winter sports now.

There is not much difference in standards among the top few teams - Canada, US, Russia, Sweden, Finland.
Any one of these teams can take gold.
