no leh. the ctv videos are not loading for me >=( keeps telling me there's an error.
when I have time this weekend Im going to search youtube. Im so upset I missed the opening. I wanted to see what they did with the aboriginals.

oh, it's not loading for you? hmm...strange. when i missed the pairs skate, i watched it at ctv site leh. FOUR FULL HOURS but i fastforward....kekekeke........
the 4 nation chiefs got to sit at the VIP box. and then it started with the natives welcoming the foreigners.....just like history. as the land separates and become individual countries, we see the emergence of the pacific ocean. the whales were awesome. i will continue to check youtube for you too. if i find the link(s), i will post it for you. anyways, i tot it was a great opening. it's more a cultural thing than being flashy. ;-) when the anthem was played, goose pimples justed popping up. and when the Canadian contingent marched in? oh, what pride!!!! when the Georgian team marched in, they had a standing O as a show of support and encouragement (the death of their luger). we also had a moment of silence.

Did you catch figure skating? I get so mesmerized by their talent and skill. I've been staying up till midnight daily just to make sure I don't miss anything.

u saw the men's halfpipe? that shaun white guy was simply untouchable!!!! i was sitting on edges watching the men's ice hockey last nite. almost got heart attack even tho it was prelim. sigh, we had an OT win over sui.... hope we get good seeding in the quarters. :|
btw, udonie....canada has 3 golds le. we added another one in the women's long track. :)

Yah, we watched the halfpipe. Tense! Our tv is tuned into the Olympics almost 24/7. My DVR is working overtime, recording all my regular shows.
Good thing we switched to AT&T Uverse. It lets us dvr 4 programmes at once, unlike with Cox which we had. Cox only allowed two per time slot. Heng ah! -

breaking news........we now have FOUR.....we added one from the men's skeleton earlier. they are showing curling now....kekeke..... and then there is the dance original skate. glue to teebee for sunday bah. it's the ice hockey between US and Canada!!!!! Go Canada~~~~
too bad the ctv site not loading for u. check out tsn or rogers sportsnet. i go take a look and will post link if i find anything. ;-)

:cry: :cry:........we had an OT shoot-out win over Sui last nite....almost got heart attack watching that game. that is NOT a good win as the US has all straight wins giving them 3 pts each. so, we may end up not in good seeding. :(
anyways, watch out next week. that's where our strength lies. i have a feeling we will grab gold in both men and women curling. :P also, the short track relay. we are in the finals. i'll keep u posted. ;-)

i'm also pretty darn sure Canada will get medals for curling. cos which other countries will put in so much effort/have so many people playing such a pointless game =p heehee. you know there's a curling club like...a 3 minutes walk away from my school. and quite a lot of people go there!

not only did we lose to the US. we lost in ice hockey. in canada.
but at least i know the canadian women will do us proud. hurhur.

not only we lost ice hockey.....we LOST women's CURLING last nite!!!! and against who? CHINA!!!!! well, they were 2009 worlds champ anyways. it's not a great loss 'cos our stats sits at 5-1 but... but....but..... *haiz* and the men's long track??? we were 1, 2 and then the Koreans took over, we ended up 4,5!!!!! haiz haiz....

oh, forgot to add....GOOD NEWS..... our dance pair? they are sitting at the top after the OD last nite. very good chance they will clinch gold and it will be the FIRST dance gold from NORTH AMERICA!!!!
