No turkey dinner for us this year. Sian of turkey, so we're going with chicken. My kids don't like the usual sides so we make stuff that they like.
Hope everyone has lots to eat, followed by lots of rest, ready to do battle on black Friday.

however, i still harbour the desire to cook a turducken one day.. but i think zora and i will have to find our place first

i dislike turkey....too dry leh. when we have our canadian thanksgiving, i usually ended up with hainanese chicken rice. i don't wanna be like my friends with all her turkey leftovers. she had turkey fried rice, turkey sandwich, turkey salad, turkey pasta, turkey this turkey that for a WHOLE week! :P

I usually spend Thanksgiving on vacation overseas coz you can get great deals...so I'm off to Barcelona in 2 days!

You can try to squeeze the goose breast meat inside the turkey and skip the chicken....In that case the stronger taste of Goose will permeate thru the Turkey....
as for spice i think a regular 5 spice should be good.....

The Chinese resturant here came up with this Fryer Turkey and chinese companies would treat their employees dinner and they would chopped up the Turkey as if it is fryer Chicken and served as a dish.....
I find it the same as the Deep Oil fried chicken rice back in SG.....
I was wondering if it is possible to have this combination....
Wild Grouse wrap within Wild Turkey ?

For anything Wild it meats are much "tougher" maybe this combination would be best stew it....

i once asked a couple of white peeps what thanksgiving was about.............they said it was the founding of america by european settlers....then i started rubbing iin da red indian stingma n massacres n they stopped thanksgiving altogether.i wonder if the red indian celebrate thanksgiving too??hmmmm
November is also National American Indian Heritage Month and of course activist will also take this day to remind the politician what happen.
Nevertheless some American indian do get together for family meal. It is basically a good idea to spend time with family.
Every other ethnic groups has various type of gathering....The chinese companies here invited their employees for compan's dinner. sort of D & D. in SG.

Happy Thanks Giving.....I got my turkey marinated this morning and will toss it to the oven by 11:00 will most likely have my meal at 4:00p.m....
Turkey effect....will put you to sleep. So avoid driving after a Turkey meal....
My mind is already on tomorrow's plan of attack. I'm going to hit Best Buy, Joann's, Home Depot and Lowe's.
