Okay Black Friday is coming.....
I heard from Radio that Black Friday has become a Sport to get into the Store....and Walmart decided to open on Thursday (thanks giving day) thru Friday....
What happen to holiday??? Does it mean that Best Buy....Target...all stores are going to remain open on Thanks Giving?
Anyway I am advising the small boutique to jump 1 day ahead to have the Sales on Thursday....
So planned well....
Let me know what are the good deal in your city....
I was told that next year 3 D TV will arrived....so maybe will see price slash on regular flat panel.
If you are buying a house next year maybe could look at home appliance and put in storage....
Now be a Good PR or citizen to do your national duties to jump start the economy....!!
3D TV?
That will be fun, imagine watching Sadako (The Ring) really crawling outta your TV.
yah right. Don't forget those killer stampedes and crazy queue lines. I'd be doin my shopping online thank you.
Just heard on the news that industry watchdogs are predicting the upcoming Christmas shopping season that begins on Black Friday to be one of the most fiercely competitive on record, with retailers expected to engage in severe price cutting to attract recession-weary consumers with drastically reduced holiday shopping budgets.
I don't plan on purchasing anything too major this holiday shopping season, although I shall be keeping an eye out on prices of 55" (or larger) HDTVs as I'm hoping to replace my current 50" plasma unit. with something a little bigger.
i think this year end sales would be good...(of course i said that every year) I think there are concern that sales maybe flat in Jan and Feb of 2010. So if they don't push as hard as they can now, chances are they are going to get stuck with the inventory.

It appears the opening shots of the impending retail price war have been fired: Wal*Mart currently has a Blu-ray player on sale for under $90.

how much u got yours?
Not surprise there are just 2 weekend left before Christmas sales start.
I think internet sales are going to be equally agrressive...it is WAR in retail...Do or Die.
In Sg as it is call Die Die must Sell.
On Thanks Giving morning 07:30 make sure go out to 7-11 and get a copy of the news paper to get all discount information.

Yes, I currently do have a Blu-ray player in the form of a recently-purchased Sony PS3 Slim. My wish for a larger HDTV stems from the inability of these tired old eyes to read the on-screen text of some of the games I'm playing on the PS3 connected to the 50" plasma HDTV.

I got my PS3 Slim for $299 from Amazon.com, no tax, no shipping and handling.
What about you? Do you plan on loosening your purse strings this X'mas shopping season?

would a CRT TV more preferred for games than a plasma panel? as I am not an expert in this area I am still using my old TV....

2nd question...there isn't much for me to loosening in my credit card...ha ha ha...but had already given my wife a gift card....so we will most likely be at Costa Mesa Mall on Friday....
I decided against Outlet as they don't really have better sales than Mall.

The LCD and plasma display panels of current generation HDTVs are largely immune to the effects of "screen burn" due to images/text appearing in a constant location on the display; their refresh rates have also increased to the point where image-smearing while playing games with high frame rates is generally no longer a problem.
I'd take a current-generation HDTV over a tube TV anytime for gaming.

If you see something in the mall you like, you can likely buy it for less by ordering the same item through the 'net from an e-tailer.
It's amazing how much money one can save by buying stuff online.
king of prussia for me! WOO!

50-55" TV....my goodness...don't you get a headache watching it? =P
Nothing beats the thrill of the chase. Besides, it makes me feel like I'm back in Sg, shopping along Orchard Road. Malls here are nowhere as crowded on any other given day.
For the past couple of years, my kids have tagged along but they don't have the endurance of a black belt shopper like moi. Haha! I'm tempted to leave them at Best Buy while I prowl the mall.
Before I worked at Sears, I assumed Black Friday prices were the best. I know better now. Save your receipts k? Whatever it is, you have to have a plan of attack. Comfy shoes are a must as well as having refreshments on hand.
Say do any of you have the Best Buy Premier card? They have an invite-only event the night before.

Never occurred to me that it was possible to get a headache watching a big screen HDTV.

To throw in the technical card, the size of your tv should be in relation to the size of the room.

Well, dang. There goes my plan of shoehorning the 50" plasma unit into the downstairs bathroom...
Where are you thinking of procuring this behemoth?
Oh and did you guys hear of the deals Target is offering? $3 toasters, oh my!
time to buy a tv and printer!
