day 2:
breakfast : curry bun....holy crap, i've not had a curry bun for like in years....maybe like 15 years? it's was GOOD!!!!!
did a bit of shopping and i just fell in love with that chomel store. kinda cool and inexpensive.......exercised constraints 'cos i honestly what to get.
lunch was at this restoran surabaya. great chicken penyat (sp?) and my first ice chendol in like 10 years.
conclusion: it's not a party to be out on a saturday....the crowds......and plus the rain? no no no~~~~~ i honestly rather stay home. :P
again, sleep pattern is whacky but i tink i will be on track from today on.
ytd's rain was a thunderstorm. quite a number of places got flooded
Bar Chor Mee......is not available overseas. So its good time to savour them and replicate them when you get back.
Also, Myojo Instant Dry Mee Pok should get into your luggage for your trip back.
Vivo City, near to the Daiso store, they have this food court on the same floor, and they serve a pretty decent and fast Claypot Rice. I can't remember the name, but my mother bought me there recently....its either 'Fu Ji' or some other name.
Go before 11+am so you can be spared the crowds.

oh yah? okay, we are going to have seafood on sunday, i'll watch for it. no, not yet. CKT is my most fav local/hawker food. i wan the best 'cos i ain't going to eat twice eh? i'm just going to have a taste of everything like once ar bo i will need a new wardrobe. kekekeke..... sotong mee? hmm....i disklike sotong.
wanton noodles? hmm....we have the hkg style in toronto. i may skip that. BKT is not my fav 'cos i am not a meat person. alamak...i sound kinda picky eh? sorry. :P but i must add i am not a fish head person. kakakaka.....
CKT? you can try the Outram CKT at Hong Lim market if you don't mind the heat. While you are there, there is still the hay po horfun (crayfish) and the famous "wild boar meat" and jelly pork.
for CKT, you must expressly tell them to use the bloody water they use to soak the seehum in..
gross but really good..
btw.. how long will you be here? maybe we can collectively drag you out and stuff you silly?

awww....bluey.......local is good....but i don't know what it is. i had seafood dinner with all my brothers and sisters last nite (after visiting our dad). i didn't exactly enjoyed the food. that deep fried squids, it had ketchup???? that's not how i rem it (like 10 years ago...kekeke). the chilli crabs was ....crap. the gravy was tomatoey. where is the rempah to cook chilli crabs? i used ginger and garlic to grind my rempah but i didn't taste any of it at this restaurant. kekeke....pai seh.....sibeh picky hor? kekeke....
Stremie arh. The Harbour Front, is at Harbour Front MRT, end stop of North East Line. At the Old World Trade Centre area.

I wanted to ask you that earlier.
Any other running around you have to do?
Like renew a passport, check on some insurances and forex trading accounts and deal with your CPF? Get a CNCC? Make sure you got lots of copies of passport photographs with you.
Traffic police, you can take the MRT down to Paya Lebar MRT, go into the Singapore Post if you need to deal with some posting or mailing address matters.
Take a slow bus to TP HQ and probably take a bus back to the MRT to settle other matters elsewhere. Wear shorts, polo shirts and a pair of running shoes. Polo shirt got collar, so if they make you take instantaneous photos, still can make use of the collar shirt.

i agree with you. the chilli crabs nowsaday is like crap. I also miss the yester taste. that's why I go for steam crab, cold crab, pepper crab, salted eggs crab and salt baked crabs instead.
Traffic police HQ is now at Ubi
From Paya Lebar MRT station, walk to Paya Lebar Rd bus stop (Opposite MRT station) take SBS Svs 24, 28, 43, 70, 76.
Take till the 4th bus stop (not counting MRT station one).. alight and walk back to the T junction, cross and walk into the side road you'll see TP HQ

Assuming your SG license expired some time back, did you check whether or not you need to retake the highway code and/or driving test in order to renew it?
ETA: I hope your dad's situation improves.
