In other news, I spent the weekend at a craft fair. We raked in about $300 bucks after deducting rent and such. Not too shabby.
No mold that I could see. The damage was limited to peeling/flaking paint on the sections of drywall between the top of the bathtub stall and the ceiling, and on the drywall near the floor just outboard of the tub. I had to scrape quit a bit of the old paint off around the damaged areas and re-mud and prime before painting. The priming wasn't really necessary but I thought it would help to waterproof the drywall above the tub. I also recaulked the seam where the top of the stall walls met the drywall, just to be safe.
Congrats on the profit from the craft fair! I'm assuming it's tax-free?

The response from the farmers market here closed down as nobody want to buy stuff....flop...

Ooo! Sounds like you had fun! The hubster and I have started prowling Home Depot and such for deals on the new digs we're getting. *rubbing hands with glee* I can't wait to run the power tools. lol.
Tax-free ah? Hardly. I'm hoping for one last craft fair before the year is out.

wat kind of crafts do you sell? sounds like fun!
hahaha...you and your power tools. so does it mean that your short sale offer has already been accepted?
Yes, it was accepted the day after we submitted it. However and it's a big however, once the bank has completed it's paperwork, it's on to termite inspection as well as the home inspection. Findings from these two inspections can make or break the deal. So the fat lady hasn't sung yet. For now, we're scouring deals at the home improvement places just in case.
As for my craft creations, I make stuff with a twist. Like reversible hats, especially with team fabric, in fleece for winter and cotton for the summer, reversible bbq aprons and half aprons, pot holders, oven gloves, appliance dust covers and reversible shopping totes. The totes are made from rescued remnants. I didn't realise that I enjoy doing what I do as much as I do. I've been lucky, career-wise. I've had the high powered career which I enjoyed very much, among other hats I've worn, and now this.
we broke a 160 year old record.....no snow in the whole month of november! today, dec 1....and i got a thin layer of white stuff on my car. loving my winter tyres....felt good driving with it! :)

Congrats?
We, on the other hand, are expecting a week of wet weather. We get a burst of showers once a year, with a handful of rain days the rest of the year. I've never lived in a place as brown and dry as San Diego.

Um, those pictures were taken by yours truly during past winters. Meltz had asked for "snowy photos" without being period-specific.
