I'm not in SD per se. I happen to live inland (good luck or bad, depends on the weather) in the warmer part of the county. And I didn't mean the weather reading today. We've been having warmer weather this past week. Feels good especially when I hear of the misery you guys up north are enduring.

Ugh. We went off Daylight Saving Time this past weekend and turned the clocks back an hour. For me, that means it now gets dark by the time I return home from work.
Damn, winter sucks...
Autumn to winter transition here in Kumamoto, Japan.
Next day weather forecast says highest temperature is 14. Today, at 16 degree the winds were going at 20km/h and extremely freezing

... only to lose that hour when the clocks are advanced next year as we go back onto Daylight Saving Time.
It's an unending cycle, I tell ya!
anyone knows what i should do?
my feet feels very painful when its starts to get cold.
even if i wear canvas shoe or my leather boots, also very painful.
will the uggs that everyone seem to be wearing help?
that is my last resort.. very ugly leh.

Ugg is short for ugly, haha, but it does help. There are other versions on the market that aren't as bulky. I like chukka boots myself. Clarks makes a very nice and super comfy version. You may also like to try knee high socks (not cotton though) and moisturise, moisturise, moisturise. HTHs. For me, tights under pants really help, coupled with knee highs. It really helps keep me comfy in the winter. You can also get some silk thermal undies. I have a pair from Eddie Bauer which I swear by. They really keep you toasty without the bulk.
As for shoes, canvas has an open weave and lets in the cold. Leather has no give and doesn't provide any warmth, imho. I like suede for winter.

also got a pair of boots with insulation from the LLBean factory outlet near my place that feels very warm and comfortable...i so love LLBean...their shoes are SO comfy...i've gotten like 4 pairs from there already..they cost much less at the outlet store =P
uggs dont look ugly on some poeple leh. haha.
but for the most part, ok, they're ugly =p

Spent the weekend and today repairing some localized water damage to the sheetrock surrounding the tub and repainting all the walls of the upstairs bathroom. The whole process took a bit longer than usual and the results were somewhat less than satisfactory, but at least the damage has been repaired.

Yikes! No mold I hope? Say did you hear about the suspect Chinese drywall? Apparently they did some tests and it holds mold or something like that.
In other news, I spent the weekend at a craft fair. We raked in about $300 bucks after deducting rent and such. Not too shabby.
