if it is a secondary car, shld definitely stick to the mazda.if you are willing to spend more, and not be worried about spinning around during winter, i would think a used disco 3 would be a great consideration. se or hse variant, diesal should work fine (but unsure if diesal works in your country or not in terms of cost).
thanks, reddust....erm, what is se hor hse ah? hmm...this mazda 5, on the road is about C$24k (cash). although financing is 0% (for 4 years) but there is a cash back.
i have about 18km of commute each way when i go into the office. so, really, my usage is pretty low. i was allowed 80k km for this mazda 3 and so far, i've only clocked 66k km.

thanks, brey.....not really a fan of honda....kekekeke.....but thanks, really. ;-)

The Mazda 5 is kinda sorta like a minivan, so does that make you a pseudo-soccermom?

thanks for chipping in. nice to read different views. like i said, i don't need a fancy car. something reasonable and safe for winter driving is good.
but with this mazda 5? i tink i need to buy winter tyres. dealer quoted me about C$800. :P

thanks....i honestly think it is value for money. i like the captain's seats i the middle row. i doubt i will use the last row passenger seats. i'll probably have it down and have it for trunk room.
also, it's higher so hopefully i won't get stuck in the snow like i did with my mazda 3. :P the side streets are the last to get plowed but i got stuck once nia lah. i had to dig "myself" out of the snow. :P
