time flies. come nov, i would have had my mazda 3 for FOUR years le. am now shopping for a new car for the next four years.
so far i have tested mazda 5, mitsubishi outlander, honda crv.
any suggestions/comments?
Get a ferrari.
Or a lambo diablo.
Let your significant other know u have a mid life crisis.
how much you pay for your car loan?
if you want a versatile car, that is good on fuel economy, punchy, fun to drive and can seat seven at time, look at the VW touran 1.4 FSI, it was really good as a car... I did not mind it. Another one you could consider is the citroen C3 picasso, its been rated highly. If you want an outlander with a european flair, get a ougeot 4007 or a citroen C crosser, they share the same underpinnings as the outlander, or try the citroen C4 picasso.. rated highly too for what it is.
wah, madza 3's loan paid? you must have quite a good monthly salary uh
anw, what you looking looking for in your next car? or what type? MVP? SUV kind?
If you are considering Honda CRV than i suggest you also look at Honda Rav 4 3.0 V6............I think Honda CRV body frame is too heavy. or engine too small. I tend to need more ......Power and Speed....
Also take a look at Volvo S60 or S90 for leasing they don't advertised but check their leasing rate.
my choice would be Sicon. Zoom Zoom........! or X5.

money no object... always the X5.. you meant the Toyota Rav 4 3.0 right? Don't forget teh audi Q5, it rates very highly.
i still prefer buy i find that maintainance cost for new car relatively low. If you are high usage like me. The resale value after 4 years could basically recovered your maintainance cost.
i am still driving my Acura CL 3.0 it has 200k its engine still pretty good condition. I still get 8 gallon to Vegas. I figure since the car market are changing to a more fuel efficient standard. i will hold out till it die. I am not rushing to get a hybrid as yet although i think next few years local US made car might end up better fuel performance

that is wishful thinking to think the americans can make a fuel efficient car... kekekek
Subaru Outback or Forester. Both are mini SUVs that handle very well and is great for driving under the conditions you endure up there. But I'm just biased. :P
get a camry, my friend swears by his. good mileage, low maintenance and its a toyota it lasts forever, besides the front wheel drive should help is rougher conditions

they came up with the ford fusion hybrid
How was your ownership experience with the Mazda 3? Do you like it enough to consider leasing the new 2010 model for another four years?

no point getting the outback as the new liberty/legacy is out already, so the new outback is arriving very soon, if you get the current one, you will be purchasing old tech and have to run that for at least the next 4 years...
maybe a honda civic sedan or the new accord euro, they drive very well.
http://www.vw.com/tiguan/en/us/ or try the tiguan, similar price range to the mazda 5. or the jetta sportwagon also from VW.

mine is the secondary car. primary car driven by SO is a caravan. so, i always lease. this will be my second term. my first was an elantra which i like. value for money. after 4 years, i just walk away. but winter driving was scary. i spun once and was at 180 deg across the roads. lucky the cars behind saw me and all stopped for my car to finish spinning. boy, my legs were shaking when i drove off.
this mazda 3 i lease for 4 years too. it may be slightly heavier than the elantra but winter driving is still not the greatest. although i only go into the office twice a week, i tink i should get a heavier car. when i drove by farmland during snow storm, my golly, i can feel the strong wind blowing my mazda involuntarily.
so, this time around, we wanna have something bigger and heavier. ideally, i should take over the caravan. it actually drives like a merc. i took it to the grocery store last week, and it's so easy to exceed the speed limit. kekekeke....ssshhhh....

rem this dealership was co-owned by a s'porean? well, i tink he left 'cos we received a change of management notice. in any case, we went to discuss early termination of lease and BUYING the mazda 5. the new owner was NOT nice. kinda rude, if u ask me.
we don't wan a sedan. up where i am, i tink i really need a heavier/bigger vehicle.
it seems, this time round, we will not lease. we will buy 'cos the chrysler van we have is about 10 years old. so, another four years, SO can take over my mazda 5 (if we decide with this) then i'll get a new vehicle (maybe leasing again for 3 or 4 years).
anyways, we went to another mazda dealership. the chap there is friendly and willing to take over the remainder of my lease. so, there is a high chance i may end up with the mazda 5.
thanks, MG

if it is a secondary car, shld definitely stick to the mazda.
if you are willing to spend more, and not be worried about spinning around during winter, i would think a used disco 3 would be a great consideration. se or hse variant, diesal should work fine (but unsure if diesal works in your country or not in terms of cost).

it would be heavier, give you the stability and stll be fairly fuel economical... really should consider the choices I did put down, they are in the same price range as a mazda 5
