Anyone did anything interesting?
The family and I took a road trip up to SFO, visiting family and seeing the sights. The best part was experiencing Alcatraz. I'll put pics up if anyone's interested.
Written on Al Capone's cell:
Here I lay with my boner
I know that I am a goner
I know I shouldn't have done her.
Drop off will it, I wonder.

The 5. We were in a hurry to get there. The drive was nice though. On the way back, we took the 1 but had to turn back after an hour when we realised we wouldn't make it home by 10pm.The route our GPS recommended took us to the Carmel Valley. Pretty drive but the undulations!
I'll post pics soon. Too lazy to do it now. :P

If my most recent visit to SF a couple of years back was any indication, you won't find any decent seafood restaurants along Fisherman's Wharf. That place has become a veritable tourist trap overrun by Korean-owned souvenir shops hawking t-shirts, trinkets and whatnot to gullible visitors.

Nope. The hubby and kids had never been so it was my civic duty. Fisherman's Wharf is nothing like what I remembered from my last visit way way back in the early 90s. Reminds me so much of Kuta Beach now.
We also stumbled on Pier 32. The Hard Rock is there now among other restaurant offerings and gift stores.

Drove down in the mids of the desert - salton sea saw bunch of cambodian fishing for tipalia fish. and, located the unmark mud pot in the middle of nowhere. Saw the guy in the desert that created salvation mountain with Hay n mud for the last 25 yrs. drove thru CA78. a "long" drive. through the desert and mountain .
Finally thought about Jetta when i was at oceanside. anyway i guess that is about it on the southeast side of california...right...anymore things to see over there?
