I closed my bank account in Singapore and have been informed that a cheque for the GST offset was mailed to my Singapore address.
How would I be able to cash in the cheque without a bank account in Singapore? Can the cheque be mailed to me overseas and cash into my Australia bank account?
Please do not delete, I posted the first post in the wrong forum.

???
The gst offset is given by the Singapore govt to offset the gst increase. The Australia govt is also handing out a one off stimulus sum of money.
don't understand english is it?
sg gst offset is meant to be spent here. unless you can come back, open an account, get the gst offset amount in and withdraw, close the account and fly back.
I didn't realise this forum is full of uncultured Singaporeans from these replies. It reminded me of the reason I migrated.
I won't be back here again. cheerios.
Btw I managed to cash out the cheque.
