I've "celebrated" it in several countries but of course, it's nothing as festive as the CNYs past of my childhood and early adulthood in SG. The day can go by unobserved if I let it.
Before I managed to find a steamboat, I used to cook a multi-course meal. By no means am I good cook but I try.
I'm lucky that Mr Jetta spent three years in Sg so he understands how much I miss being in Sg during this holiday. So it's up to me to keep the tradition alive for me and the family.
We just enjoy a steamboat reunion dinner and hand ang pows to the kids. That's about it. lol.
now is exam period
so i celebrate by mugging :(
Haha, same here, I got paper due tomorrow, on CNY of all days! So got to burn midnight oil, no choice, just take it as stay up late to guo nian ba.. Yeah I miss the ang pau part, always have to wait until june then can claim my ang paus.. what is it, 3 years now since I last had reunion dinner with family, it's just never the same without the family.
Oh haha, this might be trivial, but they are filming X-Men: Wolverine like half a mile away from where I am right now. Can't believe they actually use a university campus as a set for a prison..
Working, there are no hols in non-chinese country ... its cold and tiring
