unlike bali which is majority hindu,
lombok is a muslim majority place that's been awashed by wahibism in recent years ....
if you remember the news from a few years back, there were religious clashes in lombok, the army had to be called in, ethnic and religious minorities were targetted, and tourists had to flee .....

all u have to do is to move to the resolute, nunavut in canada. close enough to the poles and still u get to live in a 'city'.

Malaysia is a good place to retire. Penang, Kuala Lumpur and Johore Bahru ranks high on my list of retirement havens. I want to be able to eat Southeast Asian and visit Singapore as convinient as possible without any adverse change in my lifestyle.
