To be there you are part of the "Moment in History".There are alot more to see in DC ...... Smithsonian that would take at least 2 days to go thru, library of congress, Jefferson memorial and its reflection pool that plant all the Japanese Cherry Blossom, Arlington Cemetery.....Georgetown.
California is not really part of the US.....heeeee.

If I settle in Houston Texas for a few years, might need a gun. Employer are the kind that get death threats. He already has a armed chauffer.
Me will be with kids and the female folks of that family. Should I try to accquire one for their protection?

Texas is one of the most firearms-friendly states in the US. However, with very few exceptions, federal law dictates that you have to be either a permanent resident or citizen of the US in order to legally own a firearm.
Besides, even if you could legally own and carry a firearm there, why would you want to put yourself in harm's way to protect someone else's family?

Hmmm... just checked the forecast for the next week. Warm weather and... no rain!I have the club plane booked for tomorrow morning for a three-hour block. It'll be nice to take advantage of the weather and put in some flight time--it's been well over a month since I was last up.
