there were about 400 minor accidents last nite. on the road leading to my street, a few cars stalled too.

I forego packing warm jackets for this trip, in favour of bakguas & laksa mix. Didnt realise that California may be free from snow, but beijing gets terribly cold during this time of year. Still, I figured that I will be waiting in the terminals so I didnt borther bringing a decent jacket in my handcarry. Unfortunately, the plane stops at the tarmac and we are to walk down stairs and get into a bus that brings us to the terminals. It was just a very breezy 12 degrees celsius. It got colder later at night, but all I have was a t-shirt, light weight jeans, hicking boots & a ultra thin cardigan. I looked around me a the airport and everyone was at least in long sleeve shirts and thick padded jacket. Thankfully, I didnt shiver on the trip to the bus, the plane and waiting for the old folks to mount the stairs, with multiple luggage in their hands.

What's all this white crap on the ground? It's... it's... SNOW!!!
Yup, we finally got our first snowfall of the season, all 3" worth. Nothing spectacular really, but enough to make for a pretty messy and slow commute to work this morning. Plus, it highlighted the fact that I may need a new set of tires for my car, as the existing ones are almost down to their treadwear indicators and not providing what I would consider a safe amount of traction on snow.

Gone to Disneyland during thanks giving weekend.
They had the christmas magic and after the fire works they actually created SNOW.
Have to say I never knew Cartoon can actually comes alive.....amazing.

The forecast high for tomorrow is -2°F (-18°C). The current winter storm system blowing out of Canada and into much of the midwest will be packing wind gusts of up to 40 mph, creating blizzard conditions and wind chills down to -30°F (-34°C).
Further proof that nothing good ever comes out of Canada...

London was getting cold (0°C.... very xiao3 yi4 si4 when compared to that of Canada hor...) when i escaped to Morocco for the sun on 8.12.08! it is about 15°C here! YEAH!

i totally forgot to take my winter coat with me to toronto. hahahaahaa.
and toronto's weather is so much harsher than what im used to >.<
thank goodness my aunt has spare coats. and my mom left hers at my grandmas. heehee.

yeah man, yesterday was bad ! cold in the afternoon and snow in the evening !
