Seriously, Singapore is a much better country than USA.
After his swimming practice, go to Toa Payoh hub and hang out with the ah peks and ah sohs at the hawker centre, is that it?
Ronald Susilo is playing badminton now..
You think he can win?

I don't think so.
Lee Chong Wei is good.

Think he is playing one of the top Malaysian players?
I give him a 20/80 chance of winning.

That would be good, getting in touch with the heartlanders, something folks in the ivory tower hardly ever do.

ermmmm....
Lee Chong Wei is ranked No.2 in the World.
He has beaten top ranked China players before.
The 2nd set, Ronald Si Si Lo will get trashed.
The first set is just halfway through and Ronald Si Si Lo already sweating all over.
Lee Chong Wei is still relatively dry.
First set to Lee Chong Wei 21-12.
Pity Ronald in the 2nd set.
Tao Li swimming today also..
Few more mins
will get medal not?
I dont think she that lucky this time..
So I guess the PRC swimmer did not manage to win a medal for Singapore? Can't say I am dissappointed because even if she won, I wouldn't feel a thing.
I was so proud of the Thai lady that won the gold in weight-lifting, though. She was so humble and smiling throughout the competition and only broke down in massive tears after she won.
Bangkok will parade her on a lorry and tens if not hundreds of thousands of Thai and foreigners (that was what I did, when I live in Bangkok) will come out to greet and cheer her.
Trickett (AUS), the arms are huge.
no medal..
haha
Tao Li lost (5th) 100m Butterfly
Lee Chong Wei (MYS) took the second set 21-14.
Swimming | Women's 100m Butterfly | TRICKETT Lisbeth | Australia | |

yeah i think SG decision maker on sport needs to seriously thinking about taking the easy way out. Simply look at the motivation of 41 yr old Dara Torres. Compare to cold water response:
jia wei "I don't like the game. I just did it when I was younger to condition my body," she said. "Now it is my career and I have to face it."
anyway torres has won a silver medal for freestyle relay this sunday. I say in most American perspective her spirit already won her a Gold medal at heart.

i should have change the slogan as " Team Singapore - Don't get it" ha ha ha I think Sg swimmer did what she could do again i think she has plenty of chances as she is only 18yrs old.
kekeke. i was reading a certain paper today. about how initially canada had expected better results...
i think canadians ought to lower their expectations

Those Singapore participants, majority of them are not homegrown, most of them are PRCs or Indo.
These FTs are not here to do Singapore proud, they are more for getting the million dollar pay off that goes with the Olympic gold.
singapore has never won an olympic gold, period.
the closest was a silver. not taking away from the weightlifter for his rome feat, he also won silver in slightly controversial circumstances.
this olympic, don't bet against singapore not getting a medal. i think the woman's team table tennis is a shoo-in; helm by china `b' team.

finishing 5th is VERY commendable.
my best olympic moments (so far) is swimming; watching team usa win 4x100m freestyle by a fingertip.
unbelievable!
p.s. i normally clocked an ave 10mins/day on the telly. since the olympic started, i have been a couch potato from 10am - 10pm. chia-lat!
