Just some random pictures (with equally random captions) taken in Singapore on my current visit here.
The NWA 757-300 that took me from MSP to SEA. My good friend Jim swapped out with another pilot to fly this flight when he learnt of the reason for my trip to Singapore. Thanks, Jim!
The A330 waiting at the gate to fly me across the Pacific to Narita:
At the Marina South Ferry Terminal, looking at a moored riverboat that apparently lost its bearing whilst navigating the Mississippi River and ended up in Singapore:
Part of the Singapore skyline from the sea:
At VivoCity, looking across to Sentosa:
The monorails that ply between VivoCity and Sentosa:
The only way to travel in Singapore--rubbing shoulders with your fellow FT... er, I mean Singaporean whilst being whisked in supine comfort to your destination aboard the luxuriously appointed MRT:
More images to come...

Thanks, LS.
Unfortunately, pleasant flight and Northwest Airlines are seldom related concepts. Given the supremely uncomfortable seats on their A330 that I'll be flying across the Pacific, I'll probably end up with back pain when I get back stateside.

I was last back in 2005; I'll probably me making another trip here over LNY in '09 to check up on my mother.

Ack! I'd love to, but I only have a few days before I leave, and would like to spend as much time with my mother before then.
Thanks for the invite, though!

I might be making a trip to Orange County within the next month or two to visit my sister. I can drive down to SD to meet you when I'm there.
Anyone care to guess where the following three pictures were taken? Hint: they were taken from a pedestrian bridge next to a fairly prominent eating spot on the island.
