Given time and budgetary constraints, I'm trying to decide between a trip to Seattle, and a trip down to Houston to visit an old college friend. I was in Seattle back in April of '06 and fell completely in love with that city, vowing to return soon for another visit. But I have not visited my college buddy since we graduated together in '91 and he moved to Texas.
Arrrgh! Need more time and money, dammit!

wah, ah niah ah........so lomantic ah?
yah, it's been nice. we were out on the deck last evening too, enjoying our swing. i am beginning to think that this might be the nightly ritual..........
peektures? of the swing? erm, when i open up my patio for bbq bah. but first i have to survive this weekend.
there is a street festival in my town this weekend. it's a popular touristy area. as many as 7 different genres of bands performing, the sidewalk sales, the hotdogs, bbq corns, street acts and a steam engine that takes us to another town.
my friends from the west are coming over, first to enjoy the street festival then adjourn to my house for dinner. so, i have to cook tomorrow 'cos it will be a busy saturday.
after this event, i can plan my own backyard party.
Having friends over sound so nice! Alas my backyard (if you can call a 12 x 15 concrete patio a backyard) is too utilitarian and tiny to have any sort of party. How I envy you! Peekchures lai hor.

That might be a problem come winter, unless you haul the swing into your living room at that time...

don't forget to check your tyre pressures and be aware that there are many traffic cops on the Vic section of the drive. They police the speed limits quite strictly. So what do you intend to do in Adelaide?
yeah i heard abt the strict enforcement of speed limits there and infamous hook right turns in the city area hurhurhur....
In Adelaide, we will just explore the city and i guess the Barossa area where the vineyards are and maybe pop by to Kangaroo Island just to see see...we have not decided on the agenda actually haha cos our main purpose is the Great Ocean Road...

actually there are not many hook right turns in Adelaide, only in Vic hehehe.
If you are going to the barossa, you have to look up the Jenke vinyards, its a small one, but it has in my opinion one of the best wines in Adelaide. Better than some of the bigger names. Also try Chateau Tanunda, its pretty good for its sticky wines.
