i saw news that Costco and Sam Club are restricting rice, I also notice that there are no 25 lbs bag rice.
I don;t eat white rice these days but.....Kantan....anyway what are your situation?
we are going to be buying up a few large bags for storage
i dun eat much.. but.. just bought a 2Kg pack just as reserve.........so total got around 3kg at home now...
just stay away from those california GM rice all the same ....
unless you'd like to start glowing in the dark or think yourself a jellyfish ...
actually i don't think it is necessary to stick to asian grains as compare to N.A, grain.
My dad was at ntuc last week to buy some stuff. The next day he came back ntuc to buy rice the price rose from $20 to $28 per bag...
one day diff and they increase the price by 40%... I dont print money ae... dont need eat liao
Jasmine rice is what I prefer. All sold out despite daily shipments to our base commissary.
it's gone up here too!!! i buy ox head brand. was C$10.99 to C$13.99 !!!! craps, gotta eat less carb!!!!
so do we need to stock up Sugar, cooking oil, flour, and grain are we back in the 70's. in Singapore where they reported the price of basic commodity every evening news.

We just bought a 25lb jaz rice at 99 ranch. Didn't see anything frantic shoppers though.

$18 or so. This 25# will last us til Fall 08.
