Plans are well underway for the 11th Annual Upland Lemon Festival in Historic Downtown Upland. A project of Main Street Upland, this event celebrates Upland, past & present, including its role in the citrus industry. The Upland Lemon Festival will officially run from 12noon to 9p.m. on Friday, April 25th and 10a.m. to 10p.m. on Saturday, April 26th and from 11a.m. to 6p.m. on Sunday, April 27th.
The festival offers something for everyone. Kids and their parents will enjoy the Children’s Fair, including a petting zoo, pony rides & climbing wall. In addition, kids can enjoy the many “make & take” crafts where only your imagination sets the limits. The now-famous Lemon Pie Eating Contest- a favorite of many “big” kids, is one the highlights of the Community Stage, along with performance by various youth and community groups
Thanks for the info. Nothing lemony happening here. Are you attending the lemon fest? Share pics if so?
it will be the usual street festivals at different towns. i tink in july, there's an elvis festival up north in collingwood, ontario.
hmm....then, there will be the summerlicious. a makansutra kinda thing. it's an interesting makan fest in that the restaurants participating showcase their spread at a discount. this give diners a chance to try them out and perhaps go back again. btw, there is also a winterlicious. but guess what? a glutton like me hasn't been to a single one. :P
elvis festival? sound interesting! So all the fake elvis?
hahaha. there's a peach festival close to toronto actually some time in august! =p lots of peach-stuff! hahahaha.
theres also a bunch of food-related festivals during the summer. there's the greek food one which i went to last summer. there is also i think something like a chinese food festival in chinatown during a weekend.
