With the exception of Aeroflot, I would have been fine with whatever airline they put me on to get me to my final destination, together with my luggage.
don't bet on it. I flew TACA its bad.
at one stage i flew quite frequent that SIA direct hadn;t got the chance to change the menu. And I had that menu for 4 times. Same movies. ........maybe a few movies different. I still would like to fly direct given that there are less kids.
I'd advise you to take the 5 hours one .... you never know what may cock up ... 1 hour's barely enough time for the lazy donut snafflers at luggage handling to transfer your bags onto the next plane ... or they may not like your face and subject you to a strip search ...
i dont mind not getting my luggage on time leh. cos it means i dont have to lug them ALL at once onto the cab and back home. instead i can have then delivered back home. hahahahha. and i wont need the stuff in there immediately anyway cos i still have some clothes in singapore =D AND!!! i can get money. hahahhahaha...i am such a cheapo. and the chances of someone like mi getting picked to get strip searched is quite small larh. i hope they dont publicly molest pple anymore
but huh. i will mind if they cant find me a flight within the next few hours and i have to find somewhere to stay overnite etc etc etc.
haha...yeah loh. i most probably will be getting the 5 hours one. need to think of ways to entertain myself. haha
if you need to change aircraft, is 1 hour sufficient though?
awww....envy you leh. i wish i was flying back to s'pore too.

a one hour stopover or a 5 hours stopover?
if it's just one hour, IF there are no delays for the initial flight, it's fine. but flights now do nothing but screw up...err...and im always afraid i cant find the gate....or worse! the connecting flight is in another terminal and it's far away :x
but 5 hours is a VERY LONG time to spend in an airport....alone. the last time i had to spend 2 hours alone was boring. dead boring...haha
It's happened to me before, a 1 hour connecting flight that was clear across the terminal. That time I had a 3 month old and it was wintertime. Can you imagine, running with a baby, a carseat, a heavy baby bag and a baby blanket draped over my shoulder? Grrr.
Since I get airsick, I'd take the 5 hour stopover. I like to walk around the terminal, exploring and grabbing a bite to eat.
technically, if ALL goes well, one hour is enough. haha.
and if you want, u can do the flying part for me =p
do you happen to get MORE airsick for about 30 minutes after you get off the plane...??? hahaha. i dunno why, but it's an hour or so after the plane takes off and an hour or so after i get off the plane that i feel worst...=\ and how can you, after 20 hours on the plane, still be in the mood to walk around, explore and grab a bite to eat...?!!
anyway, i'll take the 5 hours. ok. now i need ideas on how to entertain myself in the airport. all ideas are welcome. even the outrageously rediculous ones.
psp rox
The other time i went to HK airport, it took me half an hour travelling within the airport to reach the plane... and super bumpy bus ride.

well, following the current trend, play viwawa
what do you think of checking into a nearby hotel to take a nap? there is this non-staying rates aka "day-rates".
then, you can kick off your shoes, take a shower, nap a little before heading back to the airport. i tink by then, your 5 hours will be easily up.
i no have psp. haha. but i will be happy if someone send me one. =D
no money to stay at a hotel =( hahaha...would u like to sponsor me!? =D actually come to think of it...i think some airports have lounges for people who have a few hours to kill....hehe. and must check if the airport has free wireless oso. hah.
actually i was thinking of 'the terminal'. grab a few benches and make a makeshift bed for myself.
got peekture some more. hahaha

hk airport has a lounge where u can shower, sleep, eat and use their internet.. i paid $30usd for their services..
no free wireless at hk airport.

1 hour in hk is enough.. the custom clears fast. all they check is your boarding pass and your carry on.

Get a good book, although I prefer a magazine. Crossword puzzles, sudoku, etc.
Yes I feel a little more airsick after landing. It's got to do with getting your landlegs back on solid land, etc. I have to wait like an hour or so before I'm not so useless. I can't eat just before flying or I'll puke. That's why I always, always, carry drammamines on me. Entertaining yourself at the airport can be quite fun. Before you know it, 5 hours have flown.
