More Than 30 People Insist They Saw a UFO Flying Over Their Town
Dozens of people in a small Texas town are talking about an unexpected visitor, but the question is, where did it come from?
The residents of Stephenville, Texas, claim to have seen a UFO, described as a mile-wide, silent object with bright lights, flying low and fast. So what was it?
These are not headlines from a supermarket tabloid. This is actual front-page news.
More than 30 residents insist they saw the unthinkable a gigantic UFO.
"It was very intense, bright lights," said local newspaper reporter Angela Joyner.
"The lights were like going like this," said Constable Leroy Gateman making hand gestures to describe what he saw when he spotted the UFO.
Rick Sorrells says he saw it while he was hunting deer in the woods.
"You look at the trees, and it was right here," Sorrells told ABC News correspondent Mike Von Fremd as he showed him the location in the woods where he spotted the UFO.
Steve Allen, a 50-year-old pilot, was at a campfire with friends and says the object was a mile long and half a mile wide. "I don't know if it was a biblical experience or somebody from a different universe or whatever but it was definitely not from around these parts," Allen said.
Allen drew a sketch of the object, which he said traveled at amazing speed without making a sound. While drawing, Allen told Von Fremd that he saw "an arch shape converted in a vertical shape, and then it split and made two of them, and then these turned into just fire and it was gone."
A spokesman for the 301st Fighter Wing in Fort Worth says no aircraft from his base was in the area, and says the objects may have been an illusion caused by two commercial airplanes. But those who saw the lights don't buy that explanation.
"It's an unidentified flying object," insisted a former Air Force technician.
"It was so fast I couldn't track it with my binoculars," said Gateman. -

speaking of UFOs ... i had a crops sprayer friend back in saskatchewan, who showed me pictures of crops circles he snapped while in the air and swore to me about UFL (un-identified flying lights) he encountered in the air .... -

few months back i went to Wal Mart supper DC in Utah. that was supper

It is a little hard to imagine air force would change their story. ....
FORT WORTH, Texas - U.S. military officials said Wednesday that fighter jets were training in a rural area the night of Jan. 8 when dozens of people reported seeing a UFO.
Although officials at the Naval Air Station Reserve Base in Fort Worth initially said none of their planes were in the area of the UFO reports, they changed their story Wednesday, saying that 10 F-16 fighter jets built by Lockheed Martin Corp. were training near Stephenville, about 70 miles (112 kilometers) southwest of Fort Worth, about the time of the sightings.
But, some residents say the military's revelation actually bolsters their claims because several reported seeing at least two fighter jets chasing an object. -

anyways, this reminded me of a novel i read "Doomsday Conspiracy". i read it quite long ago so sharing with you a reader's digest version k?
well, it talked about how a guy was hired to track down, i tink was 7 peeps who witness this ufo thingy. oblivious to the guy, an assassin was trailing him. and for ever witness that he tracked down, those witness got killed.
the ending i tink was in the end, his life is on the line 'cos he knew too much.
something liddat lah. sorry, forgot the ending liao.

did u watch from MSNBC video from the web and look at those lights.
those lights sure look huge from the sky for an F-16. -

but do u believe in aliens tho? i mean they have been and back from mars and the air is not liveable, right?
oh, i recently caught a movie, nite sky or something. also alien related. seemed to be recount of a true story/witness. but got too scary so i walked off. i don't have much luck with scary or horror movies. -

im not watching/listening to it. but my mom tells me that they've discovered that american fighter jets dont make noise when flying.
