i think we have to visit the office u know why? because it has to be biometric. Or else how do we get our finger print? eye scan?

What? have to pick up personally>>?? I really hope they didn't change their policy about mailing...I renewed mine 7 years ago, and will expire 3 years from now. The consular in SF processed my daughter's citizenship and mailed to me couple months ago so i thought they still mailed stuff to you. Such a waste of time and $ if I have fly from Denver to SF for passport renewal.

Fret not. I'm in the process of getting mine done. For US$19 the SFO mission is fedexing mine back to me. I had to pay a US$52 fee for a new passport. They only accept bank drafts or cashier's checks and the entire process takes up to 8 weeks or so. If you decide to call the mission, speak to Janet.

I'm surprised. It's only been a couple of weeks and I just got my new passport via Fedex today!

Here's something that I forgot to add that's good for a laugh. In the Fedex mailer that my new pp came in, also enclosed was a "free gift" - a small pack of mints with this emblazoned on the packaging:

Ha! A shameless plug from the consulate. I don't recall receiving anything like that before. Perhaps a sense of urgency to gather overseas Sporeans?

how come your passport's so CHEAP even though you guys are applying overseas....=(

mine's $90!!!!!!!!!! and im applying in person and everything. blooody hellll!!!!!
