I just got back from eating at the worst ever Chinese/Japanese restaurant I've ever had the bad luck to visit. Yuck, yuck, yuck.
The Kung Pao chicken wasn't spicy at all, in fact it was very bland. It came with one piece of shrimp tempura (very yuckyily done tempura, the one I make is miles better, if I do say so myself) and one piece of gyoza. Stingy! With 2 small scoops of rice, I paid US$7.95. What a rip!
The hubster and daughter had a bento set. The kitchen sent out the wrong order for my daughter and the waitress was complaining all the way to the kitchen in Cantonese. The hubster didn't like his selection and barely touched his plate. My son had two pieces of tamago for US$3.95 (rip!!!!) and two pieces of masago (same price). He said the seaweed was dry and stiff. Good grief. Every dish took a while to arrive so that compounded the insult. The entire torture came to US$26.40 and of course we didn't leave a tip. Grrrr!!!
We only had dinner out because I wanted a nice meal before tomorrow's scheduled dental surgery. I hope this isn't an omen.

At the dentist's yesterday, the nurse asked if I wanted Vicodin. I told her noooooooooooooooooo. How about Percoset? Again, noooooooooooooooooo. Then she said, I'll give you Darvoset, it's mild. Feeling good, thank you. I'm still quite guarded about eating. Have to eat soft foods and that's no fun. I'm still on antibiotics and will be for a while. All in all, if I had to do it all over again, I would. I seriously think I am sick of Singapore.
Anyone needs a mandarin/english speaking nanny? I really would like to be working for children, with children then office politics in Singapore.
Can roughly cook and mind kids.
