And if you have time and the appetite, ask around for recommendations for restaurants that serve Chicago-style deep dish pizza. If you've never had pizza where the layer of cheese was at least an inch thick, you've never really lived!

Yea, it is cold! Esp this time of the year~
I think I have mentioned some of the interesting one inside my PM to you...I think chicago is a nice city for you to sit inside a coffee shop and drink coffee while watching the city unfolds in front of your eyes
Can go chinatown if you want to eat dim sum, I can suggest quite a nice one for you...it is called 3 happiness if I am not wrong
Navy Pier is a must...but again it is very cold when you go near Lake Michigan... -

i tink 8 hours drive. not sure. but many students (some s'poreans) living in ohio make frequent trips to toronto to stock up on chinese non-parisable food. -

Aiyoh Uncle. So excited for you! You finally get to leave beautiful Idaho for the big city. Congrats! I've never been but from what I hear, the winters there are horribly cold and windy so go prepared. The food is yummy from what I see on the Food Network. There is a famous cheesecake there (forgot the name, sorry). Pictures hor.

yeap, got many orientals. when i first came in the 80s, only 1 chinatown. now? anywhere also chinatown. okay okay, maybe exaggerate also. well, at least 5 and then got koreantown, japantown, vietnamtown, greektown, little italy, little india....u name it, we have it. -
