u r too sensitive lah..Originally posted by Fatum:the moment you open your mouth, they'll know .....
Singapore airlines is great if you're blonde, hairy and 6 foot tall .... my friends here love it .... I don't see what the fuss is about ....
now Cathay Pacific for example ... has GREAT service .... I once was on a flight with some mainland country bumpkin types ... and I was so impressed with the service they received, in addition to my own ....
they treat everyone equally ..... and well ! .....
SQ ? .... * ptui ! ...
perhaps so ...Originally posted by monoslayer:u r too sensitive lah..
singaporeans are a by product of media sterotype thats all.Originally posted by Fatum:perhaps so ...
but I observe such things ...
I've seen the way Singaporeans unconsciously classify and stereotype people ....
I've seen how indonesian and fillipina maids were treated at Changi ... I've seen them suffer at the hands of immigration officers, I've received an instantly different attitude and facial expression when my turn came when I stood in line behind an ang moh at Changi check-in, nevermind services outside ... I've stood in lines at clubs and been turned away while ang mohs were let in, now this can be understandable if it was at some redneck city like calgary or even surrey .... but in Singapore ? ....
Singapore is still pretty much a third world peasant society beneath her first world veneer, the class and racial prejudices of old china is still very much alive in her people ....
Reverse racism. I'm familiar with that.Originally posted by Fatum:if you're a Singaporean on Singapore airlines, the service you receive sucks ...
I have sworn off Singapore airlines ...
The cabin crew don't check your passport, but they do have ready access to the passenger manifest which lists down the names, seat assignments, nationalities and special needs (dietary, mobility, health-related, etc.) of all of the passengers on the flight.Originally posted by monoslayer:so u mean they will check ur passport to c ur nationailty b4 serving u?
