  Folks that stay oversea have you guys ever bought either any kind of lottery ticket in your state? what is the higherest wining amt? What is the taxable amt on the wining price? If you buy what's your biggerest wining amt ?
  
  Of course if you win the top price we would have read in news.
  
  Here in CA is a daily affair but supper lottery and mega million they are both twice a week. The taxable amt is i believe 65% from both Federal and States.

  A few years ago, the Lotto jackpot here hit US$390 million, which was a record. If I recall, a group of workers in a fabrication mill in Indiana who had contributed to a lottery pool, ended up winning that jackpot.
  
  I don't believe in gambling and have never purchased a lottery ticket. But I have won a number of meat raffles at the local VFW in years past.
